Five years after my husband and our 3 sons di:ed in a terrible storm

Westbridge Holdings LLC.

Its registered manager was a man named Daniel Rourke.

Hannah clicked through several corporate records.

Then she went still.

“Mom.”

“What?”

“Look at this.”

On her laptop appeared an archived photograph from a local charity dinner.

Miles Carter stood beside a tall man with silver hair.

The caption identified him as Daniel Rourke, president of Westbridge Holdings.

I recognized the photograph immediately.

It was the same one Hannah had seen in Grant’s missing folder.

But that wasn’t the worst part.

Hannah opened another record.

Westbridge Holdings had been formed eleven years earlier.

Its original registered agent was Grant’s older brother, Peter.

Peter had died seven years before the accident.

At least, that was what we believed.

He had supposedly suffered a fatal heart attack while traveling overseas.

The company had changed hands shortly afterward.

Hannah scrolled through the records.

“Mom, Dad inherited Peter’s ownership interest when he died.”
