Pure honey or adulterated honey: 3 homemade tests to avoid being fooled again

The glass of water: the experience that takes less than a minute
We are fans of this test. Take a glass of water at room temperature and gently place a spoonful of honey in its center, without stirring.

Authentic honey will go straight to the bottom of the glass and stay there, nice and compact, without dissolving in the water. It retains its natural consistency even when immersed. On the other hand, if it dilutes quickly by clouding the water around it, it is a clear sign that it has been lying down with other substances. Its natural treasures — enzymes, minerals, specific virtues — are then seriously compromised.

Playful, fast, and really surprising as a result.

Crystallization: What Temperature Says About Your Honey
This is a reality that many consumers are unaware of: truly pure honey crystallizes in a natural way. Below 14°C, it solidifies into a granular mass dotted with small golden crystals. And contrary to what you might think, this is absolutely not a flaw — it's rather a nice proof of authenticity!
