By 2012, his features appeared noticeably taut, with smoothed skin and lifted eyes that reflected years of cosmetic procedures. That same year, Rogers reflected on his surgical choices with striking honesty.

"I was trying to hide myself," he admitted. "I regret that." Despite working with a top surgeon, he said the results left him uncertain. "The truth is, I don't know what I would have looked like if I hadn't done it," he added.

By 2015, Rogers had fully embraced the public's curiosity about his changing appearance. Years earlier, he acknowledged that being the subject of plastic surgery rumors was difficult — even when the speculation was true.
