And I have had it since the ninth of October, 2025.
And I have not produced it.
Why.
Because of the second page.
And the ninth of October, in that office, which took about twenty minutes.
He gave me a box and a folder and he left the room, which I thought at the time was tact.
And I read page one and I understood what it meant inside about forty seconds, which is that their case was finished.
And I want to be exact about what I felt, because I have been describing it for a year as grief.
It was triumph.
For about two minutes, on my own in a solicitor’s office at Threndle, I sat there with two pages in my hands and thought about Gil Vreeland’s face.
I went as far as working out who I would show it to first. Not Mr Haldane — he had already read it.
