Hannah began laughing.
Ethan did too.
And somehow, after betrayal, stolen years, impossible reunions, and three children fate had delivered through every wrong door imaginable, Hannah looked at the man beside her and realized something.
She had spent years believing the greatest miracle was discovering Daniel alive.
Then she thought it was Noah and Lily surviving.
But perhaps the strangest miracle was that broken things did not always need to return to what they had been.
Sometimes they could become something entirely different.
Something stronger.
She stepped closer.
Ethan stopped laughing.
“Hannah?”
“You still love me?”
His answer was immediate.
“Every day.”
“Even if I never become who I was before?”
“I don’t want who you were before.”
Her eyes narrowed.
“That sounded terrible.”
He smiled softly.
“I want who you are now.”
That was better.
Much better.
So Hannah kissed him.
It wasn’t a dramatic kiss.
There were no cameras.
