Supplies Required:
Thin spring (recoverable from an old charger or ballpoint pen)
Hot melt adhesive with matching gun
Cutting tool (scissors or pliers)
First phase: diagnosis
Inspect the area near the mouthpiece. If the threads are visible, cut the damaged portion cleanly to work on a sound basis.
Second phase: installation of the spring
Carefully position the spring around the vulnerable section. It must fit perfectly to the area to be reinforced, like a protective metal bracelet.
