He was still there, faithful as a shadow. A golden retriever mix with a slightly bushy fur, without a tag or leash around his neck. No one in the neighborhood could explain where he came from, or why he chose this burial place out of hundreds. Diane had questioned the cemetery guards, the regular walkers, the neighbors around.
