My husband disappeared for seven full days to stay with his mistress without saying a single word.

Seven days later, Christopher strolled confidently through the mansion’s grand entrance with Chloe beside him, behaving as though the world belonged to him and expecting to find me waiting obediently. He tossed his designer bags onto the marble floor, glared around the deserted foyer, and rudely questioned our elderly head housekeeper, Mrs. Gable, about why I wasn’t there to welcome him back.

Mrs. Gable emerged from the hallway with an expression as hard as stone. Looking him directly in the eyes, she delivered the crushing truth. “Sir, ma’am left seven days ago!” Mrs. Gable stated firmly, her voice echoing sharply through the high-vaulted ceilings.

The shock struck Christopher immediately. His smug expression disappeared, his entire body stiffened like a statue, and the horrifying reality of what he had done finally began settling heavily over him.

Christopher remained motionless in the center of the foyer, his mouth hanging open and his complexion turning ghostly pale as Mrs. Gable’s words replayed endlessly in his head. Chloe stared in confusion before letting out an uneasy laugh and asking Christopher what the elderly housekeeper meant when she said I had left, apparently assuming our normal household routine would simply continue.

Christopher gave her no answer. He dropped his luggage in a panic and hurried up the sweeping staircase toward our master bedroom, only to discover that the room had been completely cleared out. My designer wardrobe, costly jewelry, family heirlooms, and even the framed photographs from our wedding had disappeared, leaving only vacant closets and an unsettling emptiness behind.

Panic overwhelmed him as he rushed into his home office and discovered an official notice from my corporate attorneys sitting on top of his mahogany desk. According to the document, his obvious abandonment and adultery had allowed me to invoke my rights under our prenuptial agreement, immediately ending our marital partnership and blocking access to all joint accounts.
