At 26, she earns more than €9,000 a month by working only six months of the year – a job that no one wants to do

The amazing job that offers him six months of freedom a year

At first glance, Ashlea's life might look like that of a travel influencer. However, his real source of income is quite different.

The Australian works as a dump truck driver for a mining company. A job often perceived as rough and still very masculine. She fully embraces this career choice and regularly shares her experience to show that women have their place in this field.

Ashlea operates under the FIFO status, "Fly-In Fly-Out". In concrete terms, this means that she is sent to isolated sites for several weeks, before returning home for a period of rest. This is a very common system in some parts of Australia where the mines are far from urban centres.

A salary that can climb up to 10,000 euros per month
If this lifestyle attracts so much attention, it is also thanks to the sums it brings in.

In an interview picked up by the British press, Ashlea said that when she started as a driver, she earned 36.50 Australian dollars an hour, or about 21 euros. Its rhythm was already special: 12-hour days with alternating 14 days of work followed by 14 days of rest.
